2007 Church News

April 2007 - Purchase 14.5 Acres for new church facility. Located South on 227, 2/10 of a         
mile from the present location.

May 2007 - Friend Day / Church Picnic - We had a higher attendance than last year with
nearly  140 people in attendance for church and over 150 at the church picnic.

June 2007 - Softball Team has there 1st Winning Season 3-2. Next Softball game will be
Monday, June 11 at 8pm

Children's Ministry raised nearly $900.00 in a Dessert Auction. Money raised         
will be used to send children to Kid's Camp.

July  2007 - There were over 40 people of all ages present for the land dedication. There was a
time of corporate prayer and everyone had an opportunity to walk and pray over
the property. Pastor Joel share a short message on the importance of looking at
the future without forgetting the past.

           - Softball Team is in the 3rd Round of the Softball Tournament with a record of 2-1 in
                 the tournament. Current record is 5 - 7. Next game is Tuesday, July 10 at 6pm.

- Church Softball Team made it to the final four for the championship trophy. The
team lost to Dallasburg Baptist Church by a score of 17-9.  

-The Morgan Family was with us for Special Services during the week of July 15.
They ministered in music and in Word. Many came to the altars seeking God for
revival. Many left filled with the Holy Spirit and with a closer walk with the Lord.

August 2007 - Children's Back-to-School "Take the Plunge" Bash was a great success. The
  children were not the only ones getting wet.

The Missions Convention was a great success. We had the honor of having
  Missionaries from Central Eurasia, Ecuador and Italy. Each gave stories of how God  
  is moving in other parts of the world.          

September 2007 - 1st Annual Skate Board Competition / Outreach - There were 150 people in
  -attendance. Teenagers competing in the sport of Skateboarding. Pastor Chris
  share a message of the cross. There were 15 teenagers who received the Lord as
  their Savior.

HOMECOMING WEEK - Praise the Lord! REVIVAL at Hesler A/G. There were over
  180 people in attendance the first day. God has been moving in a supernatural way.     
  We have seen 7 salvations, numerous rededications, healing and refilling of the Holy
  Spirit. There is a great presence of God stirring in the house of God today.  Revival                
  Service were extended.

  -No Excuse Sunday! - Our Goals were:
                                  100 Adults - Pastor Joel buzzes his hair                
                                    30 Teens - Pastor Chris buzzes his hair
                                    35 Children - Pastor Byron buzzes his hair

  RESULTS - 93 Adults, 21 Teenagers, and 36 Children - TOTAL 150!

  Pastor Joel & Pastor Chris both buzzed their hair for the great work everyone
  did. Great Job church! We'll do it next time!

October 2007 - Exciting Times at Hesler A/G - New Property gets excavated.
-Heavy Duty Trucks arrives at our future church site to begin land excavation.

- Byron Mefford our Children Director becomes our Children's Pastor during
Pastor Appreciation Sunday. We are excited to have him been be part of our
church staff.

- Nightmare Outreach reached to over 250 people during the weekend. There
were 16 salvations.

- Harvest Family Festival at the Fairgrounds was a great success even though it
was raining. There were over 200 in attendance.

November - Hesler A/G hosted the Community Service and Bro. Travis Hunter minister in the word.

December - Busy month at Hesler as various ministries hosted Christmas parties.
Church Christmas program was a great success as the Children Ministry sang Christmas
carols and Invasion Youth Ministry did a drama entitled "Seeking the King". They did an         
awesome job!
